Coalition Letter Opposing Anti-arbitration legislation

LCJ joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and over 200 other organizations in a coalition letter to Congress opposing legislative attempts to prohibit arbitration and class action waiver provisions. The letter on July 28, 2023, highlights the organized effort to dismantle the arbitration system in favor of bringing class action litigation. Despite a lack of evidence that there is a systematic problem with arbitration, multiple bills and amendments have been proposed that attack the availability of arbitration and class action waivers in numerous contexts.
