KUPPENS ASSUMES PRESIDENCY
John Kuppens, of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, is LCJ’s new President, following service during the past year as President-Elect. John succeeded Doug Lampe (Ford Motor Company) as President at the conclusion of LCJ’s Spring membership meeting. John Kuppens brings to the position a wealth of bar leadership and professional experience. John chairs Nelson Mullins’ consumer and mechanical product liability industry group and has over 30 years of experience representing clients in product liability and commercial litigation in state and federal courts. He also counsels clients on CPSC, FTC and FDA regulatory matters and risk prevention issues. John has served for many years as a LCJ officer and director and is a past president of DRI, Lawyers Representing Business. Joining John Kuppens in officer roles are Molly Craig (the Hood Law Firm) who becomes President-Elect, and Scott Kreamer (Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice), who is LCJ’s new Vice President. Robert Levy (ExxonMobil) continues to serve as LCJ’s Treasurer and Christopher Guth (Bayer US) was elected as LCJ Secretary. Doug Lampe will continue in LCJ’s leadership as Immediate Past President. The new slate of officers will all participate in the Executive Committee of LCJ’s Board of Directors, together with at-large members Markus Green (Pfizer), Mary Novacheck (Nelson Mullins), Mike Trinh (Google) and Jeanne Walker (Shell).LCJ is also pleased to welcome to the Board of Directors newly elected members Elizabeth Gibson (Toyota North America), and John Guttmann (Beveridge and Diamond). LCJ thanks departing board members H. Mills Gallivan (Gallivan White & Boyd), and Emily Coughlin (Coughlin Betke) for their service to LCJ. Mills Gallivan will continue to help lead LCJ as a former president.
